This special Ladies event is in memory of Sr Carmen Baca and her 42 years of service to people in need. Sr. Carmen passed away in 2023 at 89 years old. Her early years as a Nun were spent teaching in the Catholic school system. In her later years and the bulk of her ministry was spent at Our Lady of the Snows and Little Flower Parishes where she focused on providing food and aid to the less fortunate in both Reno and the Northern California area.
Sharing Hope first began in 1991 and continued until 2017. It ceased when when Sr. Carmen and Sr. Carol were called back to their Mother House in Fremont, California. The Ladies loved this festive occasion to foster friendships and to share their blessings with those in need.
In her honor, the Snows Women's Auxiliary is rekindling this wonderful event so that we can reach out and help our neighbors. This year, Sharing Hope will be held on December 5, 2024. We hope you will join us.
