Our stable offers many opportunities to be a skilled horseman or horsewoman. There are opportunities to lease or board, as well as attend shows and trail riding. To participate in these opportunities, our program requires our students to know the names and functions of grooming tools, to know the parts of a saddle and bridle, to know how to put them on correctly, and how to safety-check their equipment. Our students learn how to properly warm up and cool down their horse, and they learn what to do after a lesson, before leading their horse back to its stall or pasture. Our Horsemanship Essentials program begins with a series of four Groundwork Essential classes and leads to the next phases of horsemanship skills and knowledge needed to be a confident rider and true horseman or horsewoman.
