Hey, I'm Kyrie, but everyone calls me Keke. This project is the result of people believing in me. A friend of mine came to my rescue during quarantine in 2020 when I was worried about making ends meet. He said, "Why don't you make my family the kinds of desserts we had at your school buffet every week and we'll pay you?" So I made them the things that I wanted to make for school but couldn't because we weren't in session. I made them things and used flavor combinations that sounded interesting but not quite typical of Midwestern bakeries...
...just like orange and basil. I had never had the combination before myself but saying it aloud immediately made me go "ooooohhh!" I know you know exactly what I mean!
So, I ran with it and here we are. I want to keep that spirit of making chocolates, pastries, and desserts that are at the intersection of intriguing and delicious, fancy and footloose, your guilty pleasure and infinitely shareable.
