This classic day camp program offers all of the favorites and takes place on our sweet wooded campus in Swannanoa, NC. Days at camp will be filled with nature, art, creating and team games. This camp program is perfect for children who are excited to make new friends, play outdoors, and head on a weekly field trip off campus. Campers in this session will be placed in groups of like-aged campers. This program happens during each of the six full weeks of summer camp; the rhythm will be similar throughout and activities will be varied!
This program includes:
Exploration and play in the creek that flows through campus
Nature fort building and imaginative play in the woods on our property
Time for creating and art
Science experiments
Team games
A weekly field trip to a local destination
This session will feature many of the activities offered in the general camp session with a focus on art. Campers in Art Camp will participate in mini art lessons each day as well as have ample time to create art that further develops their artistic style. This session is appropriate for artists of all levels. Highlights include the creation of a personal portfolio as well as a trip to a local art gallery.
Age: Rising 4th-7th grade
This session will feature many of the activities offered in the general camp session and campers will have the chance to become fireside cooks! Campers will learn how to build a fire fit for cooking and will have the opportunity to eat what they create, including flapjacks and sweet s’mores. Hungry hikers will also have the chance to hike on the campus as well as a few trails close by. Most dietary needs can be accommodated, contact with questions.
Age: Rising 2nd - 5th grade
This session will feature many of the activities offered in the general camp session with additional time spent learning and practicing a variety of sports. Campers in this session should enjoy playing games, be motivated to try new sports, and practice good sportsmanship.
Age: Rising 3rd - 6th grade
This session will feature many of the activities offered in the general camp session with a focus on art making, craft, and creativity. Crafty Campers will get to try their hand at painting, building, sculpting, drawing and more!
Age: Rising 1st-3rd grade
This special program for middle school students will feature three full-day excursions in the Asheville area. Excursions include white water rafting on the French Broad River and a hiking adventure that the group helps pick and plan. This session will be packed with high adventure and good friends, old and new.
Age: Rising 6th-8th grade
Are you ready to be a camp counselor, but not sure how? This camp is for you! Learn the ins and outs of being a camp counselor and be ready for next summer.
Age: Rising 7th-9th grade
We offer shuttle service from 81 Charlotte Street in downtown Asheville, after camp care and early bird care.
Leaves at 8:30 am from 81 Charlotte Street, Asheville.
Returns at 3:25 pm to 81 Charlotte Street, Asheville.
Available from 8 - 8:45 am.
Available until 4:30 pm.
